TIPS for Aspiring Models........things you need to put in consideration

Modeling is not as easy and as glamorous as one would think, who said the job also involves a lot of sacrificeShow up on time, fulfill your obligations under your contract, and try your best to get along with everyone.

one must be able to deal with a lot of rejection – sometimes even three times in a day.
What more for beginners, who have yet to establish a large network of reliable contacts.

“I don’t think there’s any job in the world where you can get more rejection than modeling,”Today, you didn’t get it. Tomorrow, you don’t get it again. For three times a day, they’ll tell you that you didn’t get it. You have to be tough.”

In other words, modeling is not as stable as a desk job.
But there are lots of perks, too, from access to exclusive parties to freebies and, of course, the pay.
“You also meet the right people who can guide you and introduce you to a new career, to tell you how it’s done.
The experience itself is a rollercoaster ride.”
This is what it takes to become a successful professional model.

1. Be professional
You can be shy and have a different personality in real life, but once you are in front of the camera, you have to be the person that your client wants you to be.

2. Toughen up

In the industry, you will meet a lot of people who will tell you that you are not good enough – that you are too fat or too thin, too tall or too small.
Don’t let these criticisms get to you. Instead, use them to enhance both your appearance and personality.
3. Take care of yourself
Always be in tip-top shape especially during the summer, when most projects are available. Work out, have a proper diet, and don’t party too much.
It’s okay to loosen up a bit during the rainy season, but always be ready to get back to work.
When it comes to diet, this basic rule applies: Control what you’re eating, but don’t starve yourself. If possible, stay away from soft drinks and junk food.
4. Know more about fashion
Being a model is not just about using clothes someone asks you to wear. Try to know as much as you can about fashion and beauty trends yourself as these will come in handy when applying for a new project.
This is particularly important for television commercials, where models are screened based on how they look upon arriving at the set.
Get to know the brand you are about to endorse, the designers and makeup artists, and all the other people you will be working with.
5. Have a Plan B
Modeling is not a stable job, so you should always have alternatives. While waiting for a call for a project, get another job, start a business or go back to school to keep yourself busy.
These accomplishments may boost your chances of getting that next big break.

Have a wonderful week ahead.

Fashion - an art of self expression

What is Fashion? Embracing style, trend, and comfort is nothing but the fashion. Fashion in today's world is compared to air in our planet. It's the most recent developments of our modern society. Fashion is an excepted manner of dressing, living, entertaining or traveling adopted by a group of people at a particular time. Fashion has been changing so fast that it is difficult even to recognize what the current fashion style is? There is undisputedly a wide choice of colors & designs in costumes.

Fashion is a style that is accepted and used by the majority of group at any one time, no matter how small that group is. Fashion is a vital, challenging, ever-changing force.

In recent years significant "anti fashion" phenomenon has taken over the fashion industry e.g. wearing unconventional colors and fabric combination. Clothing style different social groups and communities differ from one another. Sequined dresses, chic ensembles and trendy shirts and skirts represented the true repertoire of the fashion. Fabrics like shiny fabrics, sating, polyester, blends and knits are the dominant features of fashion. It has been proven scientifically that colors play an important role in the psychological behavior of human being. Keeping these in mind designers are preferring naturally dyed fabrics and natural color.

How to Do Men's Makeup for a Photo Shoot

Instructions

1.  Apply shaving cream and shave your face according to the photographer's specifications. Tweeze eyebrows lightly to remove any hair between your two eyebrows and to keep them thick and full.

2. Cleanse your face every day with a gentle facial cleanser. After drying, immediately apply facial moisturizer. This will keep your skin clear and soft. This will also create an ideal base for applying makeup.

3. Dab concealer lightly on any blemishes, discolorations, scars or under-eye circles. If the concealer matches your skin tone, it won't be visible in the photograph or to the person standing next to you. As an option, lightly cover with a foundation that also matches your skin tone, but note that the foundation will be more noticeable.

4. Dust your powder brush with translucent powder and shake off any excess. Apply the powder lightly to your entire face and neck, concentrating on covering the concealer. Apply powder so lightly that it is barely noticeable to anyone who sees you.

5. Illuminate your eyelashes and give them a fuller appearance with translucent mascara. Remove any clumps with your fingers.

6. Moisturize your lips with a clear, non-glossy moisturizer. Chapped lips aren't attractive in photo shoots, and they make your lips appear thin and cracking.
